
Mons. Pierangelo Sequeri

Pierangelo Sequeri is a writer, composer and the President of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. He has come up with a special form of music therapy, which provides children and young people suffering from psychological and mental problems an opportunity for growth and development. He was born in Milan on the Christmas of 1944. He was ordained a priest in 1968. He studied music and theology, then in 1972 he obtained his doctorate in theology. He worked as a professor of philosophy and theology at the seminary in Milan and the Brera Academy of fine arts, and he also served as a musicologist at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana. Sequeri is one of the advisors of the Pontifical Council, and a member of the International Theological Commission.
