Eschew from pessimism!

Sings, is active in politics and serves. An extremely energetic and interesting character. He is Charles Palmer-Buckle, Archbishop of Cape Coast, Ghana. In one of our earlier columns we have already portrayed him and his path of life so far, without forgetting about his passion for reggae music.
“Let’s wish ourselves a better future, since the future is bright for our people.” – said the Most Reverend in a recent interview with the Ghana News Agency. He admonished the people of Ghana to be grateful to God for all the blessings the Lord has bestowed on the nation over the past few years. Needless to say the conversation could not pass over the current Covid-19 pandemic, hence the Metropolitan asked the Ghanaians to appreciate and be thankful for God’s protection over them. As for the general elections, the Archbishop voiced his optimism, expressing his hope for a political stabilization that may develop in his country.
Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle reflected the past and future of his country through the meaning of the colours of the Ghanaian National Flag. “The Gold colour means that Ghanaians should always strive for expansion in every facet of the country’s life and has to become the spearhead of the development.”
“The colour Red symbolizes the sacrifices the citizens made to propel the development of the country. From now on people should be ready to offer voluntary support for the less privileged, enabling them to live and manage a decent life.” “The Green colour represents the nation’s hope, and reminds us of the environmental protection in order to reduce the harmful effects of the climate change.” – added the Archbishop.
Finally he encouraged everyone to take seriously and follow the Covid-19 protocols so as to protect Ghana from a further new wave of the virus.
