S.E.R. Stanislav Zvolenský

After his ordination in 1982, he served as a chaplain in Galanta and Hlohovec. He studied in Rome and Innsbruck. In 1988 he was appointed as Vice President of the Ecclesiastic Court of Trnava. From 1999, he taught at the Faculty of Theology of Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2004, he was named Auxiliary Bishop of Bratislava and Trvana. In 2008, he was appointed as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Bratislava. Before his appointment, he requested the following, so that he may become a good bishop: „First of all, I would like to talk to those priests, who serve in parishes where there are Hungarian faithful, and I want them to tell me what they consider to be important, so that I may become a good bishop to the Hungarian faithful too. In the beginning, this is going to be my campus for action.”
