Practicalities on the papal Holy Mass

Pope Francis has always paid special attention to meet the faithful personally. This will not be otherwise here in Budapest either.
Register yourself!
Should you intend to attend the papal Holy Mass, do not hesitate to register yourself by all means to ensure your best place in a sector close to the epicentre of the event.
Should you fail your registration, have got a technical problem, or have no internet connection, please contact our call centre that is available on working days between 10:00 and 17:00 CET (Central European Time) at the number +36 1 955 5823, and our colleagues give you further assistance in registering for the IEC main Holy Masses.
Gate opening and ceremonial program
Gates to enter Heroes’ Square will open at 6:00 a.m. on 12 September. Introductory program starts at 9:00 a.m.

Pope Francis greets the faithful
At 10.30 a.m. the Holy Father starts on Pope Mobile to greet the faithful. Holy Mass is to begin at 11:30 a.m. Please arrive on time!

Important practicalities!
Due to the lengthy event please take care of your own food and beverages! Toilets are available in each sector. Seats are not available, thus we strongly advise to bring your own small folding chair if you are in need of.
Projectors and radio broadcast
Projectors and loudspeakers ensure the smooth follow of the liturgy even from farther away points from the altar. Hungarian translation of the Holy Masses’ liturgy can be reached on the FM 96.4 frequency, and can be listened with headset both on a small radio or smartphone.
Thank you for your assistance!
